Mobile ND Continues to Grow

Faculty, staff and students continue to use mobile devices to access more services, and the OIT continues to expand offerings for the mobile platform. This year, the campus launched an official Notre Dame Mobile application that is available for iOS, Android, and as a mobile friendly web site at The new app connects students to the information they want most, including dining hall menus, athletics schedules, personal Domer Dollars balance, and a multitude of other details to make their life on campus easy. In the first three months, 6,053 people downloaded the app onto 23,000 devices.

The team is already working on adding new modules to the app, including integration with the Sakai learning management system, coordination with the O’SNAP SafeRide carts, and mapping the location of TRANSPO buses on the campus routes.

In addition to the new app, students can also take advantage of a new mobile printing service now allows them to print from their mobile device to any of the Print@ND printers across campus.
