Students Gain Experience Working on Company Projects

Student Government and other student organizations wanted to establish a virtual student recruitment team on campus. This team would connect companies with talented college students to perform project-based work during the academic year.

Short-term engagements allow companies to evaluate whether the student has the skills to succeed as an intern and potentially a full-time capacity after graduation.

The ProMazo Student Recruitment Lab opened in February 2014, and resides in Westlake Hall. Since it began, 29 students have participated in this initiative for various businesses and organizations such as IBM, Fidelity, Kane Consulting, Boys & Girls Club, Greenlee, and the OIT. The student board is currently working to recruit other Fortune 500 companies, including international opportunities.
